The owners of this 1910 East Vancouver character home came to Quantum with a clear vision, which was not surprising given that the homeowner is an interior designer. The collaboration we developed together is evident in every room. The renovation honours the home’s heritage bones: original mouldings, deep baseboards, and a charming stairway landing bench nook are all retained, while quietly modernizing everything beneath the surface, including a full mechanical overhaul with a heat-pump high-velocity forced-air system. A new garden suite rounds out the project, adding a beautifully finished self-contained space that carries the same design sensibility as the rest of the home. As the owners put it: this house stood for over 100 years, and now it will stand for another 100.
